Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in the Land of High Passes – Welcome to Leh

Arrive at Leh airport, dramatically located at 3,505 metres above sea level. On arrival, guests are warmly received and assisted with a smooth transfer to the hotel. The first half of the day is reserved strictly for complete rest and acclimatisation, allowing the body to adjust comfortably to the altitude—an essential step for senior travellers.
Post lunch, if health and comfort permit, proceed for a gentle visit to the serene Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Japanese pagoda symbolising world peace and offering panoramic sunset views over Leh town. The calm surroundings and spiritual ambience set the tone for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Along the Indus – Heritage, Faith & Natural Wonders

After a relaxed breakfast, begin local sightseeing along the legendary Indus River. The drive leads to the dramatic Indus–Zanskar Sangam, where the emerald Indus meets the muddy Zanskar—an awe-inspiring natural sight.
Continue to the sacred Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, revered for its spiritual significance, followed by a stop at the fascinating Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to defy gravity.
The day concludes with a visit to the Hall of Fame, a moving tribute to Indian soldiers and Ladakh’s military history.

Day 3: Crossing the Clouds – Leh to Nubra Valley

After an early breakfast, set out for the enchanting Nubra Valley, driving via the legendary Khardung La Pass—one of the world’s highest motorable roads. Frequent comfort stops ensure a relaxed and safe journey while soaking in majestic mountain views.
On arrival, visit the historic Diskit Monastery, founded in the 15th century and offering sweeping views of the valley. Later, enjoy a memorable visit to Hunder Sand Dunes, where guests can opt for a gentle double-humped Bactrian camel ride, native to this region.

An early start after breakfast takes the group towards the iconic Pangong Lake, located at 14,500 feet above sea level. The drive crosses the breathtaking Chang La Pass, among the highest motorable passes in the world.
Pangong Lake’s ever-changing shades of blue, stretching across the Indo-China border, create a deeply calming and almost meditative experience. After spending quality time by the lakeside, return to Leh by evening. If energy permits, enjoy light exploration of Leh’s local markets.
