Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Srinagar & Scenic Drive to Pahalgam

Arrive in Srinagar, where our Seniorholidays representative extends a warm welcome and assists with a smooth transfer towards Pahalgam, the picturesque Valley of Shepherds.

The drive itself is a highlight, passing through saffron fields, pine forests, and the gentle flow of the Lidder River. Comfortable breaks are planned along the way, allowing guests to enjoy the fresh mountain air without fatigue. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax amidst serene surroundings.

Day 2 – Pahalgam Sightseeing: Valleys of Tranquillity

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed day exploring the scenic beauty of Pahalgam. Visit Aru Valley, known for its peaceful meadows and snow-clad peaks, followed by Betaab Valley, famous for its cinematic landscapes and gentle walking paths.

Later, proceed to Chandanwari Valley, the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra, offering dramatic mountain views and a spiritual ambience. The sightseeing is paced with ample time to sit, relax, and absorb the surroundings.
Return to the hotel by evening.

Day 3 – Mountain Journey: Pahalgam to Gulmarg

After breakfast, drive towards Gulmarg, one of India’s most celebrated hill resorts. The route unfolds through forested slopes and quaint villages, with rest stops planned for comfort.

On arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Seniors may relax at the hotel or take a short assisted walk to admire Gulmarg’s vast meadows and alpine charm.

Day 4 – Gondola Experience & Return to Srinagar

After breakfast, enjoy the highlight of Gulmarg — the Gulmarg Gondola (cost on your own), one of the highest cable car rides in the world. The gondola offers breathtaking views of snow-covered peaks and forests, with seating and assistance available for senior comfort (subject to weather conditions).

Later, drive back to Srinagar and visit the iconic Lal Chowk, the heart of the city. Enjoy leisurely local shopping for Kashmiri shawls, dry fruits, handicrafts, and souvenirs.

Day 5 – Tulip Gardens, Lakes & Houseboat Experience

After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to the vibrant Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden (seasonal), Asia’s largest tulip garden, offering colourful floral displays and senior-friendly pathways.

Continue to the classic Mughal Gardens — including Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi — known for their terraced lawns, fountains, and panoramic views of Dal Lake.

In the evening, enjoy a peaceful Shikara Ride on the shimmering waters of Dal Lake, gliding past floating gardens and traditional houseboats. Later, check in to a beautifully crafted houseboat, offering a truly authentic Kashmiri experience.
