Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival into the Himalayas: Bagdogra to Gangtok

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport, where our Seniorholidays representative assists with a smooth and comfortable transfer to Gangtok. The scenic mountain drive follows the serene Teesta River, offering calming views of forested slopes and distant Himalayan peaks.

A relaxed lunch stop en route allows time to refresh before continuing uphill. On arrival in Gangtok, check in to the hotel and enjoy time to rest and acclimatise to the cool mountain air.

Day 2 – Sacred High Altitudes: Nathula, Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

After breakfast, embark on a carefully planned excursion to the high-altitude wonders of East Sikkim. Subject to permits and weather conditions, we visit Nathula Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world and a historic Indo–China border post.

Continue to the breathtaking Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft), a sacred glacial lake revered by locals and surrounded by snow-capped peaks, followed by a visit to Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, dedicated to the legendary Indian Army soldier believed to spiritually protect the region.

Enjoy lunch on the return journey, and later unwind with a gentle evening visit to MG Marg, Gangtok’s clean, vehicle-free promenade — ideal for seniors to stroll, sit, shop, or simply enjoy the mountain ambience.

Day 3 – Gangtok Unveiled: Views, Culture & Heritage

After breakfast, set out for a comprehensive yet comfortably paced city tour. Begin with scenic viewpoints at Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, and Hanuman Tok, offering panoramic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and Gangtok town.

Later visits include the vibrant Flower Exhibition Centre, Cottage Industry & Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul Chorten, and Gonjang Monastery, each providing insight into Sikkim’s Buddhist culture and local craftsmanship. The day concludes at the refreshing Bakthang Waterfall, surrounded by lush greenery.

Day 4 – Mountain Roads & Quiet Valleys: Gangtok to Pelling

After breakfast, drive towards Pelling, enjoying scenic Himalayan landscapes along the way. En route, stop at Ravangla for a relaxed lunch break amidst peaceful mountain surroundings.

On arrival in Pelling, check in to the resort and enjoy a restful evening surrounded by nature — perfect for unwinding after the journey.

Day 5 – Nature & Engineering Wonders of Pelling

After breakfast, explore Pelling’s most scenic highlights. Visit the impressive Khangchendzongha Waterfall, cascading powerfully amid lush greenery, followed by the sacred Khecheopalri Lake, believed to fulfill heartfelt wishes. The tranquil atmosphere makes this one of the most spiritually uplifting stops of the journey.

Later, experience the Pelling Skywalk, India’s first glass skywalk, with optional viewing points for guests preferring firm ground. The day concludes with a visit to the dramatic Singshore Suspension Bridge, Asia’s second-highest suspension bridge.

Day 6 – Spiritual Trails: Pelling to Namchi
