Travel Itinerary

Day 1

Travel to Leh city

Arrive in Leh and head to your hotel for a warm lunch and some well-deserved rest. In the evening, enjoy high-tea and a fun get-together before a delicious dinner. The night is yours to relax and soak in the charm of Leh.

Day 2

Wonders of Leh: Rivers, Legends & Sunset Views

After breakfast, set off for a day of sightseeing around Leh with your local guide. Start with the magnificent Sangam—the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers—before heading to the famous Magnetic Hill where gravity seems to play tricks. Visit the sacred Pathar Sahib Gurudwara for blessings, and on your way back, pay homage to the brave soldiers at the Kargil War Memorial and museum. Enjoy a local lunch in Leh’s bustling market, then visit the serene Shanti Stupa for breathtaking sunset views over the city. Return to the hotel for a hot dinner and a restful night.

Day 3

Journey to Nubra: Independence Day at Khardungla

Today, we check out from our Leh hotel and set off towards the stunning valleys of Shyok and Nubra, where the rivers fed by the Siachen Glacier flow through the picturesque “Valley of Flowers.” But the real highlight awaits atop Khardungla Pass (17,600 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable roads, where we’ll celebrate India’s Independence Day alongside Indian soldiers—sharing sweets, smiles, and patriotic pride. Later, check in to your cozy Swiss Camp in the charming hamlet of Hunder, unwind, and enjoy a bonfire, music, and an early dinner under the stars.

Day 4

A Leisurely Day in Nubra: Sand Dunes & Camel Rides

Today is yours to relax and soak in the charm of Nubra Valley, including the picturesque Hunder village. Post lunch we’ll visit the ancient 600-year-old Diskit Monastery and capture the serenity beneath the towering Maitri Buddha statue. Next, we head out for some fun amidst the sand dunes and enjoy a memorable ride on the unique double-humped Bactrian camels found only in this region. Return to your camp for an early dinner and a peaceful night’s rest before tomorrow’s journey.

Day 5

A Leisurely Day in Nubra: Sand Dunes & Camel Rides

After an early breakfast, we set off along the scenic Shyok River towards the mesmerizing Pangong Tso Lake, made famous by the Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots and one of the true highlights of Ladakh. The four-hour drive treats us to ever-changing landscapes and charming villages before the first glimpse of the lake’s surreal blue waters appears on the horizon, framed by rugged mountains. At 14,270 ft, Pangong—meaning “long, narrow, enchanted lake”—is Asia’s highest saltwater lake, with 60% of it lying in China. Surprisingly, despite its saline water, the lake freezes solid in winter. Upon reaching Pangong, enjoy a leisurely walk along its shimmering shore and snap plenty of photos before we drive back to Leh—keeping altitude in mind, it’s best not to stay too long. Back in Leh, a hot dinner and well-earned rest await.

Day 6

Leh City Tour, Local Flavours & Farewell Evening

After breakfast, set out for a half-day sightseeing tour of Leh city. Visit the historic Leh Palace, once the royal residence of Ladakh’s kings and built in the same style as the famous Potala Palace. Later, head to the bustling local market where you can shop for traditional arts, crafts, and souvenirs, and don’t forget to try some local delicacies—especially my favourite, Thukpa! Return to the hotel for a fun-filled gala evening, followed by dinner and a restful night.

Day 7

Farewell Ladakh: Homebound with Heartfelt Memories.

This morning, we check out early and head to the airport for our flight back home. Though it’s time to say goodbye, Ladakh leaves us with memories that will last a lifetime—the majestic snowy peaks bathed in crystal-clear sunshine, dramatic landscapes of deep gorges and arid plains, the warmth of its vibrant culture, and the unforgettable faces of its people. Ladakh’s beauty and spirit will forever remain close to the heart.
