Our journey begins along the Ringstraße, a grand, tree-lined boulevard that encircles the city center, offering breathtaking views of Vienna’s most stunning architectural treasures. We’ll then arrive at Stephansplatz, the vibrant heart of Vienna, home to the magnificent St. Stephen’s Cathedral—a true Gothic masterpiece.

From here, take a leisurely stroll down Kärntner Straße, Vienna’s famous shopping avenue, which has existed since Roman times. Enjoy the lively atmosphere, explore stylish boutiques, and soak in the charm of this historic Carinthian Street. Just around the corner stands the legendary Vienna State Opera House (Wiener Staatsoper)—a symbol of the city’s deep-rooted musical and cultural heritage.

Discovering Budapest & Relaxing at Széchenyi Thermal Baths

Wake up to a delightful breakfast before setting off on a mesmerizing city tour of Budapest, a city where history, culture, and stunning architecture blend seamlessly.

Our first stop is the UNESCO-listed Heroes’ Square, one of the most iconic landmarks in Budapest. Here, you’ll find the magnificent Millennium Monument, adorned with statues of Hungary’s most revered historical figures, telling the tale of the nation’s past.

Next, step into a fairy tale at Fisherman’s Bastion, an enchanting castle-like terrace on the Buda side of the city. From here, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Budapest, with the Danube River winding through its heart. Nearby, we’ll visit the Matthias Church, a Roman Catholic masterpiece perched on Gellért Hill. Dating back to 1015, this architectural gem showcases a blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles, making it one of Europe’s most unique churches.

Our journey continues to the Hungarian Parliament House, a striking example of Gothic Revival architecture with Baroque and Renaissance influences. Journey to Prague with a Stop in Charming Bratislava

After a hearty breakfast, we bid farewell to Budapest and embark on our journey to Prague, the fairytale capital of the Czech Republic. Along the way, we make a fascinating stop in Bratislava, the picturesque capital of Slovakia.

Upon arrival, we’ll dive into a guided orientation tour of Bratislava’s enchanting Old Town, where charming cobbled streets and vibrant pastel-colored buildings create a storybook-like atmosphere. As we meander through its winding alleyways, we’ll reach St. Martin’s Cathedral, a magnificent 15th-century Gothic masterpiece built atop an earlier Romanesque church dating back to 1221. This historic cathedral was once the coronation site of Hungarian kings, adding to its regal charm.

Next, we’ll visit the St. Michael’s Gate, also known as Michael’s Tower—the only surviving medieval gate of the city’s ancient fortifications. This historic landmark, dating back to the 14th century, offers a glimpse into the past with its impressive architecture and breathtaking views of the Old Town.

After a delightful lunch break (self-arranged), we continue our exploration with a visit to the iconic Bratislava Castle, a 16th-century Renaissance palace that dominates the city’s skyline. Explore Prague & Witness the Walk of the Apostles with a Vltava River Cruise

Start your day with a delicious breakfast before stepping into the storybook city of Prague, where history and charm come alive at every corner.

Our adventure begins with a visit to Hradčany Castle, a sprawling complex covering 110 acres that houses majestic palaces, grand churches, and lush gardens. Dating back to the 9th century, this is one of the largest castles in the world and serves as the official residence of the Czech President.

Within its grounds, we’ll explore the breathtaking St. Vitus Cathedral, a Roman Catholic masterpiece and the largest cathedral in Prague. With its intricate Gothic architecture, stained-glass windows, and rich history, this cathedral has been the coronation site of numerous Czech kings and queens.

Next, we’ll visit the Astronomical Clock, a true marvel of medieval engineering. As the hour strikes, watch the Walk of the Apostles, an enchanting display where the figures of the twelve apostles emerge to mark the time—one of the most iconic experiences in Prague.

Just a short stroll away, we’ll explore the Old Town Square, a historic gem surrounded by stunning buildings that showcase architectural styles from the 14th and 15th centuries. After a delightful breakfast, we check out from Prague and set off towards Salzburg, one of Europe’s most breathtaking cities. Nestled between the Salzburg Alps and the Salzach River, this charming Austrian gem is famous for its Baroque architecture, rich musical heritage, and stunning landscapes.

Upon arrival, a local guide will take us on a captivating city tour, sharing fascinating stories about Salzburg’s historic sites.

Our first stop is the Salzburg Cathedral, a magnificent masterpiece of the early Baroque era that has stood as the city’s centerpiece since the 17th century. Step inside to admire its awe-inspiring interiors and learn about its deep-rooted significance in Salzburg’s religious and cultural history.

Next, we visit the Residenz Fountain, the most stunning fountain in Salzburg and a perfect spot for memorable photos. Carved from local marble, this grand Baroque fountain stands in Residenzplatz, adding to the city’s regal charm.

A short walk takes us to the Love Lock Bridge, a beautiful pedestrian bridge over the Salzach River that has become a symbol of eternal love. Couples seal their love by attaching a lock to the bridge and tossing the key into the river below—a timeless romantic tradition.

Crossing over, we step into Getreidegasse, Salzburg’s busiest and most historic shopping street. As we journey through the stunning Salzkammergut region, soak in the mesmerizing scenery of emerald lakes, rolling hills, and charming Alpine villages. Our first stop is Hallstatt, a postcard-perfect village often called the “Pearl of Salzkammergut”.

Nestled between towering mountains and a shimmering lake, Hallstatt is a dreamlike setting that has enchanted travelers for centuries. You’ll have two hours of free time to explore at your own pace—stroll along the lakefront promenade, browse through quaint local shops, or simply soak in the magical atmosphere. If you’re feeling adventurous, visit the Mühlbach Waterfall or stop by the Hallstatt Museum (entry fee not included) to uncover the fascinating history of this centuries-old village.

Zell am See – Where the Alps Meet the Lake:

After a final breakfast in Salzburg, we check out and begin our journey back to Vienna. As we drive through Austria’s scenic landscapes one last time, take in the beauty of the rolling hills, charming villages, and majestic Alpine views that have made this trip so unforgettable.

Upon arrival in Vienna, we head to the International Airport for your departure. Though this journey comes to an end, the memories of grand castles, fairytale villages, and breathtaking landscapes will stay with you forever.

Terms of Booking

The following terms the terms for this tour:

  • Before 45 Days from the date of departure, a deposit of minimum 35% of the total tour cost, per person, is required to secure your booking.
  • If you are booking the tour 1 to 30 days prior to the start of the tour – (ie. Tour Departure Date), you are obligated to pay the full tour package amount (less any advance, already paid).
  • Failure to pay the full amount may result in the cancellation of your booking, with the company retaining any amounts paid.

Tour Cancellation Terms:

If SeniorHolidays cancels this particular tour, we promise to refund 100% of the amount you’ve paid, up to the time of cancellation.

However, if you decide to cancel your participation in the tour, SeniorHolidays will help you get a refund for the amount you’ve already paid, minus any third-party fees. You can also choose to apply that amount toward a future holiday booking with us at your convenience, without any obligation, based on the cancellation terms below:

  • Cancellations made 45 days prior to travel incur a charge of 10% of the tour value.
  • Cancellations made within 44 to 30 days of travel incur a charge of 50% of the tour value.
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of travel are non-refundable.
